Last Sunday I was showing my artworks in a place I used to lived when I was a little girl. It's on the french wine hills in the Bellet vignoble. It was just a one day exhibition for the first festival of Arty Show, an art show created to import art also away from the city, so art can live everywhere.
I found the concept very interresting and an opportunity for all the artists to exhibit and present their artworks in a different way to new people who maybe don't use to know Art.
It was for me the first experience of an outdoor exhibition and I can tell you it was stressful to be sure that all canvas were well exposed to people and protected from the weather as it was very sunny and a bit windy.
I have met beautiful arts from artists I didn't know about them before. It was good to share experiences and support from each other. Because I have to be honnest we were expected more visitors, and we were sad about that.
Of course we have support and visits from our friends and family, which is so important for any artist. But it's always good and essential to speak and share with visitors what they feel about our artwors and explain a bit of our work. We didn't really had this occation for this 1st exhibition at the Arty Show but it's the first time we do it so I understand that people needs to be drived to come to discover art.
What I keep from this outdoor exhibtion is the great artists I have met and I'm really sure that next year we will have more success as people will start to have this routine of the ARTY SHOW.
I really thanks Valerie Court for the great organisation of the show and for the opportunity to have been here. You should take a look on what Valerie does it's very a non-common art :-)
